11/6 Update – I’m Taking Over C-Span

email Email

In studio w/my guest Sara Groves & our friend, the rascally S. Lloyd Jones.

Dear Friends!

I recently had the joy of being interviewed by Brian Lamb for C-Span’s “Q&A” program, about my life and work. Watch it on C-Span this Sunday at 8pm EST!

And last Sunday I had the great honor of meeting Dr. Michael Youssef, who let me preach from his pulpit at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta. To see the service and my sermon, click here. Also, here is an article about my visit to Dallas Baptist University last month.

I’m currently in Dallas and headed to Little Rock later today. I can’t say how much I enjoy meeting people who’ve read my books or listen to the radio program. Thank you for all of your kind and encouraging comments!

But for now, please check out the radio highlights below!

P.S. Before I go, let me say that my Everything About God (the Jesus Edition) is now out in paperback, from Baker Books. Also, I’ve established a Twitter account for my Don’t You Believe It! book. I’ll say more on those subjects tomorrow.

This week on The Eric Metaxas Show:

Jennifer Lahl, founder and president of the Center for Bioethics and Culture Network, educated listeners about the trends of womb surrogacy and egg donation.

Reggie Littlejohn, Founder and President of “Women’s Rights without Frontiers,” returned to the show to discuss the recent changes to China’s one child policy.  Then Melissa Quinn of The Daily Signal shared her thoughts about the most recent ObamaCare co-op to collapse in Utah.

Relationship expert and author Les Parrott talked about a book he co-authored with his wife, Leslie, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts.

Historian and policy expert Mark Riebling came on to discuss the Catholic Church’s efforts to save Jews and defeat Hitler, which are detailed in his superb book Church of Spies: The Pope’s Secret War Against Hitler.

A listener favorite—CalTech astrophysicist Hugh Ross–came back to the show to continue his discussion with Eric about the compatibility of faith & science!

Tod Lindberg of the Hoover Institution talked with Eric about his new book, The Heroic Heart: Greatness Ancient and Modern, which explores the quality of heroic greatness from its most distant origin in human prehistory to the present.

Eric interviewed former Atlanta fire chief Kelvin Cochran about his legal case and his outrageous dismissal from his post by Atlanta’s mayor for expressing his views on marriage in a book he wrote.

Mark Batterson, New York Times bestselling author and lead pastor at the National Community Church in Washington, DC, talked about his latest book, If: Trading Your If Only Regrets for God’s What If Possibilities.

Al Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, spoke about his book We Cannot Be Silent, which explores where we are culturally, along with the fight for religious liberty.

Award-winning musician Sara Groves talked about her life and career, as well as her new album Floodplain. She and Eric were joined in the studio by Sally Lloyd Jones, so you know they had a lot of fun.

I had the BEST time at Houston Christian H.S. this week! What an impressive place! Here I am with students Remington Garfield & Elizabeth Olinde.

When I learned that this pavement next to the Temple Mount was certainly the same pavement upon which Jesus himself had walked I did the only thing that made sense: I knelt and kissed it. #holyground
