Week in Review

email Email

At the risk of repeating myself:  What a week! On Wednesday I was in gorgeous Santa Barbara, California for a Salem Radio Managers meeting and had the joy of meeting Chuck Swindoll and most of the Salem family, including my friends and fellow radio hosts Dennis Prager, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Bill Bennett, Michael Gallagher, and Steve Deace! Have you ever put a bunch of talkshow hosts together in a room? And did I mention I hung out with Joe Piscopo? He will be on the program in the next few weeks. We may sing “Ivory and Ivory” together.

On my radio program I had tons of fun with my friend Patricia Heaton and many others — and now the snow is here! Hunker down and listen to everything you missed! Do it right now and you’ll get a small O.J. free w/a student ID!

Be sure to check out the radio highlights below for this week. You don’t want to miss my time with Patricia Heaton or Crystal Wright calling me a honkey! I think that really happened. And Peter Hitchens’s voice is worth listening to no matter WHAT he is talking about….

Thanks for your support!

Eric's Signature

This week on The Eric Metaxas Show:

One of Eric’s favorite pastors in America, Todd Wagner of Watermark Church in Dallas, TX stopped by the studio.

Then actress Patricia Heaton sat down with Eric before appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She talked about her time on Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle, and what it’s like being a person of faith in Hollywood.

Acclaimed British author and journalist Peter Hitchens phoned into the show from “across the pond” to defend attacks against the reputation of Bonhoeffer’s dear friend Bishop George Bell.

Grammy-winning rapper Lecrae discussed his new album “Church Clothes 3” and upcoming book Unashamed, along with his overall faith. The Middle actress Patricia Heaton returned to the Empire State Building for a second hour with Eric. You cannot miss their conversation!

Larry Taunton returned from for a second hour to discuss his book on the faith of Christopher Hitchens and his incredible recovery from a harrowing, nearly fatal bicycle accident.

Blogger from and journalist Crystal Wright joined the show to dispel myths about conservatism and race, and discuss her new book Con Job.

Jay Nordlinger, a senior editor and book fellow at National Review, came by the studio to talk about his one of a kind book Children of Monsters: An Inquiry into the Sons and Daughters of Dictators.

Then Eric’s friend Frederica Mathewes-Green called in to discuss her article in First Things, “Against Eternal Youth.” Her observations are spectacular and much needed.

In light of sky-rocketing demand for “Eric Metaxas Show” mugs, Eric hosted another live mug-a-thon on Friday, while taking comments and questions about whether Trump can win, or should! And he spoke with his friend John Rankin, a brilliant apologist Eric insists you need to know.

I love America. Not sure where this is, but had to take a shot of it.

When a culture divorces sex from the sanctity of marriage & the supreme joy of creating life, it creates a world of porn addicts, gropers, paederasts, & sexual predators, a world in which all people -- women & children most of all -- are devalued and debased. #WeAreMadeInHisImage
